Protecting the Vulnerable
Richie began his career as a prosecutor in January 2007, serving as a part-time Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney until 2017. Not only did Richie prosecute the most felonies during this time, he was also the sole prosecutor for the majority of jury trials including everything from drug trafficking and murder, to felony child sex abuse trials.
In 2018, Richie was elected as the Graves County Commonwealth's Attorney, where he implemented a variety of new programs and earned a reputation for aggressively prosecuting criminals while also offering comprehensive support to victims through the following:
-
Created the Vulnerable Victim's Unit, focused on predators of child abuse.
-
Created the Drug Enforcement Unit, focused on drugs, gangs and related violence
-
Strengthened and Expanded the Multi-Disciplinary Team--a group of professionals from various agencies who work together to address child abuse and neglect cases.
Today, Richie serves as a part-time Special Prosecutor for the Kentucky's Office of the Attorney General.
Richie and his wife Jennifer live in Graves County with their three children. When he's not in the courtroom, you can find him on the court, coaching his daughters' basketball teams.
